Earthquake Damage and Loss Estimation

Product Overview

The aim of this product is to provide rapid earthquake damage and loss estimation, providing civil protection authorities with a spatial view of the extent of the impact.

A first implementation supports earthquake rapid response across all European countries, by providing within tens of minutes a rapid estimate of damage for residential buildings and human loss (injuries, casualties, shelter needs) at municipal level. The objective is to provide a uniform solution for all Europe, in order to cover areas that do not benefit yet from specific earthquake rapid response systems.

A second implementation supports earthquake rapid response focused on the Alpes-Maritimes area (South-East France).
