2nd GOBEYOND Workshop

The 2nd GOBEYOND Workshop, titled "From Early Warnings to Real-World Emergency Response ", was held on 21–22 April 2026 in Naples, Italy, bringing together researchers, civil protection authorities, policymakers, first responders, and technical experts from across Europe.

Over two interactive days, participants exchanged knowledge and experiences through roundtables, case studies, poster sessions, hands-on exhibitions, and open discussions focused on strengthening disaster preparedness, operational response, and community resilience to multi-risk hazards.

The Experience

Experts and stakeholders exchanged knowledge through 4 roundtables and 2 case study presentations, addressing key challenges and practical experiences, followed by open discussions.

Participants explored a series of poster presentations showcasing innovative research and tools, encouraging networking and knowledge exchange among attendees.

The workshop featured 9 live operational demonstrations, offering participants the opportunity to experience innovative tools, technologies, and services in action through interactive hands-on exhibitions.

The Poster Sessions showcased state-of-the-art developments, innovative research, and the GOBEYOND Pilot Site Success Stories, encouraging participants to engage directly with each other, exchange ideas, and explore project results in an interactive way.

Hands-on Exhibitions

Participants had the opportunity to engage directly with the Multi-Risk Impact-based Early Warning System (MR-IEWS) prototypes through live demonstrations.

Attendees were able to explore the platform’s features, ask questions, and provide feedback directly to the developers and pilot leads. This hands-on experience gave participants a tangible sense of the tools being co-developed and how they can be adapted to local needs
