The FAIR solution is an advanced wildfire risk assessment tool that combines artificial intelligence, high-resolution fuel maps, and wildfire spread modelling (with PROPAGATOR, a stochastic Cellular Automata wildfire model) to simulate how fires may evolve and what impacts they could cause. The solution supports civil protection authorities by improving preparedness, situational awareness, and decision-making for wildfire prevention, early warning, scenario-making and emergency response.
There are 3 types of outputs: Raster Map for fire arrival probability and fire-line intensity, Vector map for iso-chrones of fire propagation, and a table for degree of impacts on infrastructure.
