Demonstration overview
The focus of this demonstration is to provide Morocco with access to an Early Warning System (EWS) featuring capabilities unprecedented in the country. It also aims to serve as a showcase for what is possible across other Union for the Mediterranean countries, contributing more broadly to the UN’s Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative in Africa.

Solution
The MR-IEWS platform, supported mainly by PREDICT, is designed to enhance crisis management operations. It features a central cartographic interface for real-time visualization of expected and ongoing events, as well as a function for the creation of multi-hazard operational maps. The platform also includes a cartographic and digital logbook that allows users to trace the actions implemented in their area of responsibility. Additionally, it enables real-time sharing of hydro-meteorological risks information through interactive maps and supports the dissemination of alerts via email, SMS, or push notifications to a list of pre-established recipients.
