Specific municipal adaptations of the MR-IEWS platforms
Co-creation
The Living Labs set up will be the collaborative framework to co-design community Self-Protection plans adapted to the areas and communities most vulnerable in these cities, conceived to be activated using the local SSWs as triggers. A specific effort will be made to engage associations and citizen representatives in the Living Lab sessions, to test how these participatory approaches at municipal level can lead to more efficient response plans, and how they can transform the citizens in "assets" during real-life emergencies.
Focus
These local demonstrations will focus on using the high-resolution information available at local level (including the analysis of historical events) to develop SSWs and specific protocols of response actions to be triggered by the impact forecasting products of the MR-IEWS.
