To implement a framework in which authorities, citizens, and civil society representatives can feel listened to, and actively engaged in co-designing and co-creating the MR-IEWS, adapted to regional and local needs, a Living Labs approach will be implemented.
The Living Labs (LLs) will serve as places where local stakeholders develop collaborative research and mutual learning trajectories, working ‘from below’ and capitalizing on the participatory experiences and the social fabric of early-adopter regional authorities and municipalities engaged in the proposed co-creation process.
For the moment, 3 LL will be implemented and demonstrated in the EU regional pilot sites:
