The aim of this product is to provide earthquake early response and impact estimation at pilot site level, to support civil protection authorities for rapid situational awareness and preliminary assessment of potential damage.
The objective is to bridge the temporal gap between an earthquake detection on a seismic station and the availability of fully processed shake-maps tools
Within 1 to 3 seconds since the first P-wave earthquake detection, the product determines the moment magnitude and potential impact/strong shaking (peak ground motion and macro seismic Intensity IMCS) in the area surrounding the seismic station. The information is sent to users through automatic emails, while the link to an onsite Early Warning specific smartphone app is under development.

Coverage: Array
Pozzuoli Pilot Site: It is operating on a seismic station installed in the Altamira Compound, an office building in the municipality.
